In our previous exciting episode, Classroom Claims, David is introduced to hearing God in a way that he has not heard before. He does not face a threat to his survival as in other episodes. He faces the loss of control in his song and dance. It seems that the fear of survival is not so much a threat as embarrassment.
And as in Back to the Cliff, this episode has David receiving another order that will take him to the survival edge. We see in the circumstances that the episode plot is being designed from on high. It is a necessary transition to the follow on episode, What’s Next?, in the series Faith: The Final Frontier.
